Have you ever wondered what would become of you when you grow old? Or have you ever imagined what you will be now? In my case I did. There are things that happened because I wanted them to happen and there are things, by circumstance would not permit to happen. I was born with an eye for fashion. When I was younger I would rummage my mom’s closet to see clothes that she kept, wear her high heels and play with her make-up. This is the exact same thing that I do with my Aunt’s closet that would make her so annoyed. I guess I was really annoying when I was young because I am curious most of the time. There are moments when I wanted to grow up fast because I want to wear what they wear, I want to buy make up and shop until I drop. My life was not just toys and play; I was also playing the game of being adult.

I dreamt of becoming a stylish person, to wear all the dresses that I love and to walk with it in confidence. I happen to have that dream come true when I decided to become a fashion blogger. I have a lot of fashion icons that look up to; there are Hollywood stars, local stars and even ordinary people. Just like everyone else, I enjoy stalking other people’s wall in Facebook and Instagram, because I love their style, I love what they do with their lives, I like what they eat, I want to go where they go and I want to have what they have. Girls deny that, they don’t want to admit that they are stalkers because they don’t want the other person to feel that there is something about them that makes us really curious. We are all dreaming of a perfect life, of doing things that the person with the perfect life do. We stalk them because we want to be just like them. We follow them on their social networking sites to be updated of their shenanigans. That’s what fanatics do and that’s what I also do. For me, I use it for a greater purpose, which is for me to have an idea of what to blog next time and to realize that there is really nothing wrong paring blue and orange. Dream big.. look at your dream.. and follow your dream.

The dress that I am blogging today is the exact same dress that I wore when I attended Ayala Style Origin with Allison Harvard and Tim Yap. This dress has been in my closet for quite some time now. It is just waiting for the right occasion to be worn. Finally, when I got invited for the event, I finally had the chance to wear it. I am not really into tight fitting clothes because I am too conscious with my flabs and I am not very confident to flaunt curves. Though this dress made me look otherwise after a crash-granola diet, I would still be watching what I eat until I change my clothes. I guess this is a common dilemma among all girls. On a lighter note I am still very happy that I was able to pull this off by maintaining small intakes and stomach in techniques. Lol.

Girls are capable of wearing body con dresses especially those with the right curves at the right places. Each person has different body type. All you need to do is to find what style suits you best. My body and built is not made for body con, so I always find something chic and loose with a flowy skirt. But that doesn’t mean I cannot wear body con, because I do. But I try to choose the ones that emphasize and flaunt the curves.

Another exciting event that I attended was the Ayala Style Origin 2014 featuring America’s Next Top Model cycle 12 and American Next Top Model: All-Stars finalist, product endorser and international fashion model Allison Harvard. Hosted by our very own TV and radio host, newspaper editor, creative director, columnist, club owner and eventologist Tim Yap. This event talks about personal style and beauty because nowadays, being stylish is very important as it is already part of being in the society. Learning the trends and carrying styles with confidence is a must for every fashionable people just like me. In this event we’ve learned tips particularly the Do’s and Don’ts in fashion and with Tim and Allison sharing their own personal styles.

For all events that I attend to, I always make sure that I arrive 30 minutes before the start time so that I will be able to sit in front, take pictures of the set and be familiar with the area. So there, I am just a feet away from the stage.

The good thing about being the early bird is that you see the place before it will be filled with people and you could take pictures of the food that they will be serving. Brace yourself for the total foodgasm.

Peanuts and raisins served in the table. Guests are free to get it.

Foods that were served were from Cafe Laguna Catering. Absolutely delicious, I wouldn’t mind getting blotted with my skimpy dress.

Here are the very accommodating ushers and usherette who helped guests starting from the registration until they were seated on their respective seats.

People are now filling up the area as the show is about to start.

There goes Tim Yap. I really like his personality and he is very passionate with what he does. Hosting comes out naturally to him.

Here comes Allison Harvard. You might wonder why they are seated on the bed when they are having a talk. Well, I guess it is the comfort that our beds bring us when we are sleeping is the same comfort we feel when we are in front of a lot of people and it’s also like talking to your own best friend during a sleep over. I guess that is what their concept is all about.

Tim and Allison exchanged ideas on what they think fashion should be. The one on the screen is my favorite of what Allison said because that is really me. I do not follow trend, I dress on whatever I am comfortable with. Following a trend you cannot carry is like trying to fit in a circle where you don’t belong. Another thing that she said is to not get caught up in trends that make you question your own choices in a negative way. I, myself know that not all trends are suitable for me because we have different taste in style, trying to become someone else would not make you unique and will just make your style overated.

And this is my favorite of what Tim said; do not be afraid of what bullies and basher says. People will always judge you, that’s a fact. The moment you were born, you were already judged. The moment you try to express yourself, you will also be judged. We are living in an imperfect world where people will always have something to say. But what they say will not define you because you define yourself. I am not afraid to hear people’s opinion about me, I’ve already heard bad things, but I do not take it seriously. Taking it seriously would mean taking them seriously. I will not bash on them either. I will just try to avoid them.  I do not want to be around people who will just make my light shine lesser.

My favorite fashion tip that Tim said is to not be afraid to experiment and try different styles and colors, because you will not know if it’s good for you if you will not try it.

Before the show ended, Tim and Allison chose their winners for makeover contest they held on Instagram. They personally styled them with their own choice of clothes and accessories. Allison’s style with the girls is preppy while Tim’s style is edgy.

Finally, it is time for meet and greet. So happy to be on the same stage with this power duo. During the ask Allison a question, I had the guts to ask her about her paintings. People may not know that but Allison paint and draw. I was her biggest fan when she was competing for America’s Next Top Model that I was able to stalk her with almost everything she does and post in the internet. So there I learned this hidden talent of hers. She said that she paints depend on her mood. I was not able to grasp everything that she said because I was so starstruck with her standing in front of me talking like I am her old friend.

It’s also amazing how Tim Yap is so approachable and really nice in everything. Well, I guess that is the power of being sociable, you know people’s personality and you could easily get along with them.

People are now lining up for the meet and greet. I am so happy I was the very first for the meet and greet because I don’t have to wait in the line like this.
