In 2008 when Studio 23, an affiliate of ABS-CBN launched its regional network programming, GURU Ads & Marketing Consultancy jumped at a chance to showcase our brainchild, TOP PICK: Business + Lifestyle + Technology. Top Pick was the only regional program to-date to get endorsements and feature such as Silk Air and Cathay Pacific. The success of the show has been resounding because of the viewing public’s response being positive, encouraging and inspiring us to deliver quality episodes.

This year, 2016 after successfully airing 3 seasons of Top Pick they brought their brainchild into a new different level, to be the country’s first and only quad media show to be aired on TV, publish on newspaper, to be heard on radio and can be seen and reviewed via social media.

Top Pick will be aired through Island Living TV, the no. 1 and the largest lifestyle and tourism community television channel in the Philippines in over 150 cities. Cable Channel that covers the entire Visayas & Mindanao subscribers with Luzon Coverage; Muntinlupa, Las Pinas, Province of Bantangas, Province of Laguna, Province of Quezon, Province of Rizal, Province of Albay.

They will also be aired through Magic 92.3 FM on primetime Friday, 6 till 9 PM.

Top Pick will have a weekly column on Cebu Daily News, Cebu’s Only Independent newspaper to support the TV episodes and has partnership with FranchisingPH, a franchising company that has been delivering top quality, targeted editorial geared to potential franchisees.

I’ve been on a blogging hiatus since the time I returned from Hong Kong. I am still trying to cope with new routine such as adding extra hours at work so I can make “bawi” my loses on our unfortunate left-by-the-plane-drama. I am also busy with something that is related to my future goals and plans. I am not getting married just so you know, but it is something I have been waiting for the longest time. I’ll be sharing about it when the right time comes.

For now, what I’ll share is my new fondness for simple outfit; no complicated details and just plain. I’ve been waiting for this day to come because just like all other fashion bloggers, they outgrew wild styles, to many details and complicated styling and short dresses. The day has come for me and I so love it because this is now the new me. No fuss and frills, no drama, just simply feminine.

The School year 2016-2017 is fast approaching and for sure parents are already thinking of what school they will send their kids to.

Just in time for the upcoming school season is the opening of Cambridge Child Development Centre in Gorordo, a Singapore international preschool that provides quality child care and early learning programmes for children from 10 months to 6 years old.

Cambridge was founded in Singapore and began operation in the Philippines in 2001. It entails all intellectual property as well as curriculum updates straight from Singapore. Teachers are highly calibrated with comprehensive training to be equipped with knowledge and teaching skills.

“We want to make learning fun.” CCLDI President Gerry Laperal said “We want kids to be interested in something, whether it’s writing, reading or math, because if you really care about something you will go out of your way to learn”.

Cambridge Philippines partnered with Lucia Chiong Sy for Cambridge Gorordo Center. Driven by her passion in teaching young children she was able to compare which system works best when it comes to teaching. “I believe children learn best if they are happy and enjoy what they are doing. Cambridge has that because they do not enforce too much pressure on the child. They just learn by experience, by playing, so there is fun in learning.” Lucia said.”Our principle is also less teaching, more observation on how we can dig the potential of the kid, so since this is a small class we can really see each individuality”.

Cambridge Philippines uses Project-Based Ecological Model (PBEM) Curriculum— an innovative, progressive and experiential approach to preschool education and take some element from the traditional way of teaching. This curriculum is child-focused to make every classroom routine fun and enjoyable. They also integrated Chinese Language as part of the curriculum.
