Cafe Old Cul-De-Sac

Last December, (yes, December) we went to check on a restaurant that is located inside Sto. Nino Village. This is the second restaurant that I’ve known located on this secluded area. What I learned about marketing strategy is that your business needs to be in a strategic location for it to attract customers, however, this restaurant’s marketing strategy was only through word of mouth. People who had experienced dining on this restaurant will tell their friends, information passed on to another friend until it spreads like plague.

Cul de sac in french means “dead end”, indeed it is a dead end. The restaurant is located at Maya St. inside Sto. Nino Village in Banilad, just walk until to reach the end and there you will see what you are looking for.

This is the menu. If you will notice the table, it is still decorated with Christmas themed mantel because we went there on December 2014. This is already a back log post since I was so busy last December and earlier this year, but I would still wish to share this experience with you guys because this restaurant (by far) reached my standards for food and dining experience.

When you order main dish, it includes soup and dessert. This is their Pumpkin Soup.

Enjoying my mushroom soup.

This is what I ordered. It’s Rhapsody in Blue (fish with shrimps) for (P220.00). I ordered this because shrimps is my favorite seafood. I am not really into fish but when the waiter recommended the dish because it is their best seller, I gave it a try. Indeed I was not disappointed. It’s very flavorful you will not know that what you are eating is really fish.

This is the Shredded Chicken (P190.00). I love the sauce and this is a perfect chicken meal.

Bon appetit!

This is their Iced Mocha (P85.00).

This is the beautiful looking Berry Sprite (P60.00), we ordered as per waiter recommendation. It is a Sprite soda with berry juice topped with cherry.
