This “I guess” will be the last birthday blog that I am going to post. This time, it is not just my birthday. It is a double celebration of me and Shy. Our birthdays are just 2 days apart and for us to be able to save, we decided to celebrate it together. I live in an apartment compound and they are my neighbors. They are like my family here in Cebu. We celebrate birthdays like we celebrate it at home, get invited to eat breakfast, borrow some utensils and even dining chairs, talk like the usual neighbors do, and the like.
I remembered last year on my 23rd birthday, I was new in our apartment and I didn’t tell them about my birthday because I still haven’t got a job and I do not have budget to throw a party, so I kept it to myself. Then, Ivy asked my roommate Charen (not present on this party) if it is really my birthday because she saw it in Facebook (forgot to hide my birthday) and Charen confirmed it. I told them about my financial difficulties and apologized that I will not be able to throw a party, but I was surprised because they voluntarily pledged spaghetti and a little something, so that we can celebrate. My roommate Charen also pledged for an Ube cake and I was the one who bought ice cream and soft drinks. I only had 6 people in attendance on my 23rd birthday, but it was the best birthday knowing that I shared it with the people who cared for me.
In our apartment, we usually celebrate birthdays at home or they go out for karaoke, but this time, Shy suggested a pool party at Sandtrap. This place is in Banilad, Cebu. The place is quite, it feels like we are somewhere in the province and not in Cebu City. There are trees all around and you can at least breathe fresh air.
With my dear Aisa, who traveled all the way from Danao just to be with me on my birthday.
Shy and I chillin’ beside the pool.
The arrival of Tito Boy and Kris. Awp.. I mean Ma Josh and Maymay.
With my awesome friends/neighbors Badet, Shy, Maymay, Josh and me.
So this is how Sandtrap looks like outside.
Looks very inviting isn’t it? Well, wait until you see what’s inside.
My pretty Lab Aisa. Imagine, she is my photographer for all my fashion shots and here she is, projecting like a pro. How versatile!
Me being lazy and sitting on the grass.
On the right side as soon as you enter Sandtrap, there is a board with the list of their weekly special menu.
On the left side are the dining tables and the huge tennis court
On the farthest side is the bar.
This side is the opposite of the bar.
Doing some fashion shots. This can be titled “Ang babae sa banga”. At least not “Ang babae sa septic tank”.Lol.
That’s Shy with Ivy. Ivy is also a blogger. Be inspired by her words of wisdom on the blog.
Let the feast begin!!
Shy and I blowing our birthday cakes.
Happy Birthday Shy!
The people I love.
My cake is mocha caramel flavored and Shy’s cake is mango and ube.
Spaghetti and bacon sandwich. So mouth-watering!
All meat and Hawaiian pizza. I swear their foods are great! Since I did not go on swimming, at least I can say that I really enjoyed the foods.
Got a really nice shot of pretty Shy right here.
The birthday celebrants!
