Every Christmas we always receive wine package from our Uncle who is a wine lover. He taught me how to tell wines apart. Though I am not really good at it, I am certain that I know how Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay tastes like regardless if I have not seen the label yet. Since then I become a wine lover and developed curiousity of the different types of wine specially because wine names are like music to my ears. Currently, my most favorite wine is a Moscato, specially if it is fruity. Imagine my excitement when I received my invitation to attend the E & J Gallo Royal Wine Event that was held at Grand Convention Center of Cebu. It was totally surreal!
Gallo wines sounds new to me, I haven’t tried a single wine from the brand, so I was really curious about the product. The speaker of the night was Mr. Aubrey Buckingham of E & J Gallo Winery, who provided us with information about the product and the history of E & J Gallo Winery, owned by Gallo Family and founded by the brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo in 1933 at Modesto, California. I was amazed that this product comes from humble beginnings and succeeded to become the second largest winery in the world that supplies wine to 93 different countries. From then on they became the highly acclaimed winery that earned major awards from prestigious international wine competitions.
