Last July, in celebration of my 20 something birthday, we went to Manila to see my previous room mate Charen and to go to Tagaytay and Enchanted Kingdom since I want to be away on my birthday. Actually the travel did not fall on my birthday which is July 10 because AirAsia has a lot of issues (I will not be flying with them anymore for sure) so we changed our flight date to the 14th instead. We only stayed in Manila for 1 day, so what we did when we arrived was to visit Intramuros which is a very historic place in the Philippines and City of Dreams to see my high school classmate.
Manila traffic is crazy. I’ve been there 3 times already and it gets worst each time. Thank god we did not stay there for long because it’s too congested and there is nothing much to do aside from travelling hours because places are too far and cars are not moving because of heavy traffic.
I booked a hotel in Makati because Makati is the safest place in Manila for tourists. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about dangerous places where people get robbed, raped and other crimes that we seldom experience here in Cebu. I practiced utmost safety during the travel and tried our best to stay away from dangerous places.
So much for my Manila rant. Check out my photos around Intramuros and some at City of Dreams.
Wearing this number from H&M, it is very comfortable and ideal for strolling since it is not too short. I paired it with extra comfy cardigan and ballet flats for a cooler feel.
At the Galeria De Los Presedentes De La Republica Pilipina. It is where Philippine President portraits are displayed. If Pnoy’s term will end his portrait will be added here.
