I started 2013 with 45 bucket list of things I want to do for the year 2013. Unfortunately, I only completed 17 of it. Not even close to 50% because I was so freakin’ busy this year. It was like I am always running out of time. It was good for a change, because I felt that I was very productive.
So here are the 17 thing in my bucket list that I was able to do in 2013.
1. Attend a concert.
What I really want to happen is to watch a major concert, like Rihanna or Katy Perry or Taylor Swift perhaps. However, living in Cebu will not give you the leverage for those types of concerts since most concerts are held in Manila. So this is the catch, aside from paying your concert ticket, you will also pay your plane ticket to Manila and hotel accommodation which I cannot afford. When I got an invite to attend the Christafarai concert for free, I was sooo happy. Free concert and it is just a few miles away from home.
2. Build your own blog/website
This is the thing that I am most proud of. I know it is just a site, like all other sites, but it made me feel really happy because I did the thing that I wanted the most. It is my site and no one can take this site away from me (as long as I will pay my yearly domain fee), it is named after me and I can post and write whatever I want.
3. Face your greatest fear
My greatest fear for 2013 is not an object, an exotic animal or human being. My greatest fear is to visit the place I do not want to visit anymore. The place is filled with memories I want to forget. But due to unavoidable circumstance which is very unfortunate of me, I went there not once but twice. How amazing is that?
4. Go explore a cave
For this year I was able to explore 3 caves. Surreal!
The Underground River – Puerto Princesa, Palawan
Tumubo Cave – Camotes Island
Ogtong Cave – Bantayan Island
4. Google yourself
Disclaimer: This is really no brainer. Lol. But when I googled myself today, I saw my Tumblr account on search engine first followed by Twitter, Facebook and Lookbook. That is for the web. When I clicked on images, I saw most of my fashion blog photos.
5. Learn a foreign language
Another thing that I am proud of. I completed A1 and A2 classes (beginners and advance level) in French and took DELF 1 and DELF 2 with flying colors. I now know the basics, such as introducing myself, greeting people and speaking phrases and sentences. Oh la la!
7. Let go of your past!
I found this highlighted in all capital letters in my bucket list with atleast 10 exclamation point. Looking at it now? I’m laughing my arse out. I didn’t know how it looks too desperate now. But I am still happy, I did it..again. Haha.
8. Read 24 books in 1 year.
I already blogged this. 17 out of 24 is not bad after all. But it would be really good if I finished it all. With few hours left, that will be very impossible.
9. Ride a Cable Car
Yes I did it in Bohol! Look at the scenery from the top. I am seeing the Loboc River.
10. Go on Zipline
This is also in Bohol. The same time I had my cable car ride
11. Ride a Kart
I did 3 instance of this for this year. I am a happy karter, you know!
12. Say I LOVE YOU to someone special.
13. Take a day off on your birthday
Yes, I did and I went for dinner with the special people of my life. My Lab Jo, Jen, Ais and Mommy Love.
14. Go on FB fasting for 1 month
I didn’t do it for just a month, but I did it for 3 months and 9 days! That is from January 27- May 11, 2013. Proud? Of course!
15. Watch 53 movies in 1 year
This is really a challenge because I do not watch movies often. Why 53? Because 1 year has 53 weeks, so it is supposed to be 1 movie per week. But I still can’t do it. I’ve only watched 20. Since it is not a lot, I even list it down.
16. Throw away all the things that remind you of someone.
17. Travel and explore the Philippines
I didn’t travel a lot because of work, but I am happy that I was able to visit 5 places in the Philippines for 1 year.
Bohol – April 2013
Puerto Princesa, Palawan – July 2013
El Nido, Palawan – July
Camotes Island – November 2013
Bantayan Island – November 2013
