Ocean Park, Hong Kong Part 1

by / / in Hong Kong Travels/ 0 Comment(s)

Finally, I will be able to blog about my long overdue travel blog in Hong Kong. Same old reason, I was very much pre occupied at work and I’ve got no time editing my pictures. It is so easy to write a blog but editing pictures specially the travel entries takes so much of my time because I have thousands of photos from my travel that I need to sort out and edit. I guess it’s not just me who has this dilemma but most bloggers too. I am no Gal Gadot so I spend so much time editing on my computer before I can create my blog.

This is the part 1 of my Ocean Park adventure. We went there on our third day in Hong Kong, chose to go there on a weekday to avoid the crowd. It is still crowded but not as crowded like weekends.

Ocean Park has Cross Border Coach Ticket Counter, Taxi Stands, Citybus 629 Bus Stop and Public Bus Interchange so it is very convenient for everyone to go there. For our case since we stayed at Tsim Sha Tsui, we took the train from Tsim Sha Tsui Station to Admiralty Station, upon arrival took the Exit B and get on to Citybus Route 629. The Citybus Route 629 runs daily from Admiralty MTR Station so it is really convenient and cheaper than riding taxi. You can also buy Ocean Park ticket near Citybus Terminal but it is regular priced ticket. Our ticket was a promotional ticket since we bought it from the travel agency in Tsim Sha Tsui. I highly recommend this because travel agencies has promotions that will save you few bucks.

So are you ready for this quick tour? Come with me then and let start at Aqua City!

You will see this near the Aqua Lagoon, the big map of Ocean Park and there are guide maps that you can grab in English and Chinese language.

The Emerald Trail, we did follow the trail and ended up in a cul de sac. Nothing to see, so I suggest you don’t take the Emerald trail.

The last thing that we did was to watch the bird show at the Amazing Bird Theater. It’s cool to see different kinds of birds but we did not understand anything that they were saying during the show. They were speaking Chinese and people in the audience are even laughing at the actors joke, while we were just there sitting trying to understand what they were saying based on their actions.
