I, being an advocate for breast cancer awareness attended the most anticipated Queen by Cary Santiago event. It is a Pre-pageant Fashion Show, featuring the Collections of FINC Designers as part of the Think Pink, breast cancer awareness campaign. All Cebu fashion designers showcased their masterpiece by creating the best gown, colored pink for this event. Being a fashion blogger allowed me to have the privilege to sit in the front for me to get a clearer view and a nice shot for the gowns that was presented.
The show started by an opening number of contestants for the Queen of Cebu. They are the well endowed gay goddesses of Cebu, that are too pretty, real women’s will be intimidated. I mean, you wouldn’t believe it but they are like dolls come to life. Lol. After the opening number, the last year Queen of Cebu winners made their walk. They are still as stunning as before.
Since this is a breast cancer awareness campaign, there was also a talk about breast cancer early detection and prevention by the I Can Serve Foundation. We are all encouraged to be alert with the signs and symptoms since there has been an increase in the statistics of people who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
For the first part of the fashion show, the I can Serve Foundation breast cancer survivors were the first to come out with their lovely gown created by the fashion geniuses. Kudos to these strong women’s for not giving up the fight for breast cancer.
This time the beautiful Queen of Cebu contestants graced the stage with their beautiful gowns.
Miss Australia as Jennifer Hawkins. I knew Miss Australia because we work on the same company, she is known as Josa Bautista. She is really pretty and always a head turner at the office. (Let’s use SHE this time since this is a Queen of Cebu contestant) Lol.
Tom Rodriquez was also there to serenade the ICSF breast cancer survivors and the Queen of Cebu contestants.
Jude Bacalso interviewing Tom Rodriguez.
And the winners are Miss Japan wearing the gown of Lord Maturan and Lordgette Hong wearing the creation of Roger Salazar. Miss Japan was my bet because I really like her gown. I hope Lord Maturan will let me borrow this gown for my cousin’s wedding. Lol.
It was a fun night and I regret not wearing pink for this event, but nevertheless, I am still happy wearing my ‘Abandon’ body hugging mini dress.
I am so honored to have the opportunity to sit next to Cary Santiago, the star of the night. Without him, this event will not be possible. It is great to know a very successful person yet still very humble and has kept his feet on the ground. Thank you and I salute you for a job well done!
