Audrey Hepburn is my fashion icon. I’ve watched all her movies that was digitally enhanced and I was blown away by how sophisticated she was. She is an epitome of classic fashion with so much finesse and elegance. Who doesn’t know about her most popular movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s? No one right? If you don’t know then probably you have been hiding in a cave. That’s a joke, but seriously all fashionista that has the same taste as mine have her as their fashion icon just because she is Audrey Hepburn.

A lot of people have tried to copy this look and I am one of those people who tried so hard to be her other version. Lucky enough I have a very supportive friend photographer who is willing to make my dream a reality, and that’s none other than Cheny Santizas. We arranged to have our photo shoot at The Henry Hotel, a boutique hotel in Cebu with classic hipster theme that would be very suitable for this look.

I decided to be minimal when it comes to my dress length, and my necklace is just one layer that I made for this shoot the day before. Though, I did try to find an elbow length gloves without success, I was able to find a cute tiara from Broadway.

It’s the official start of Fall here in Canada and I am freezing cold already, how much more once winter starts right? This type of weather make me miss Philippines, the tropical weather, the beach and the sun. I love Canada, don’t get me wrong, it is now my new home and so far everything is so good. I think one of the best part of being here in terms of weather is you get to appreciate the season and look forward for it the next year. It also makes you feel excited for the new season to come.

I arrived here on summer which is my original plan exactly to allow my body to adjust with the change in temperature. So on my arrival, it was a bit chilly and can be compared to the rainy season in the Philippines. Now, it’s slowly getting colder and I am saying goodbye to my dresses that I bought from the Philippines, because all of it are for summer.

Looking at this photos right now makes me nostalgic. Makes me wonder when can I do this again? When can I see beautiful beaches again? It’s the time that I get to appreciate Philippines even more. Though, I know it will not take that long before I see it again but this photos brings so much happy memories of the country where I came from.

I am getting emotional, I know, so I need to stop right here. I still have one more blog from Boracay next time so stay tuned!

Last July, I visited Boracay with my Boyfriend for my late birthday travel. This will also be my last vacation here in the Philippines before I move to Canada. Last year we travelled to Manila, Tagaytay and Batangas for my birthday and I want to keep this tradition alive in the coming years.

A lot of things has changed in Boracay since my last visit in 2009. There are more things to see and do nowadays. Aside from sun bathing by the beach, we also made sure that we will be able to do recreational activities to make it even more memorable. I am not fond of water activities to be honest, I am scared of water because I don’t know how to swim and I always fear for my life when I am close to the sea. That is also the reason why I don’t like going to beaches, but we all know it’s different with Boracay, right? I made sure to get the right tan and go for Parasailing and ATV.

Our first activity is ATV. We followed the trail going to Mt. Lujo where we lingered a bit to see the amazing view of the island. The secret to get a lower priced adventure is to haggle to an acceptable budget, but not to the point where agent is no longer getting commission. For the ATV activity that we did, we paid P700.00 each.

Our next adventure is Parasailing. This is what I am really excited about. I’ve been babbling about this to my boyfriend because this is included in my life bucket list of the things that I want to do. He has fear of heights but I was able to convince him to conquer his fears. Thank god he agreed. We paid P1,100 each for Parasailing.

Purely coincidence, my Aunt and her family also visited Boracay on the same date as ours and they invited us for dinner at Discovery Shores where they are staying. Here I am with my beautiful Aunt Socorro.

Your Boracay travel will not be complete if you will not see the stunning Boracay sunset. I love how the sky change its color come sunset and there are a lot of people by the beach waiting for it.

Before I end this blog, let me show you how my breakfast looks like. On our first day I chose Filipino breakfast called Tocilog and on our second until our last days I decided to go for Continental Breakfast so I don’t have to eat a lot, plus it includes bacon which is my favorite in the whole wide world!

That’s it for now, some of my Boracay photos are included in either my outfit posts or bikini posts in Boracay so stay tuned for that.
